4,000-Year-Old Noodles Found in China
October 12, 2005—A 4,000-year-old bowl of noodles unearthed in China is the earliest example ever found of one of the world's most popular foods, scientists reported today. It also suggests an Asian—not Italian—origin for the staple dish.
The beautifully preserved, long, thin yellow noodles were found inside an overturned sealed bowl at the Lajia archaeological site in northwestern China. The bowl was buried under ten feet (three meters) of sediment.
Flores Hobbit-Like Human
Scientist Peter Brown photographs the skull of Homo floresiensis, a species of human that is new to science.
This encounter between a modern human and Homo floresiensis (the 18,000-year-old skull) may have had ancient precedents. Some researchers believe that, because the hobbit-like humans lived at the same time and in the same general region as modern humans for at least 20,000 years, the two species may well have met face-to-face. Local legends on Flores mention tiny people who live in caves.
This grapefruit-size Homo floresiensis skull is apparently from a 30-year-old female who lived 18,000 years ago on Flores, an island in Indonesia. The small brain suggests that the new human species is not a pygmy Homo sapiens but rather a descendant of Homo erectus.

A male Homo floresiensis returns from the hunt. Found on the island of Flores in Indonesia, these ancient humans grew no taller than a three-year-old modern-human child. Their small size led scientists to nickname the species "hobbits," after the tiny Lord of the Rings characters. The first such individual found was female. Since then at least seven individuals have been found, including males.
The Indonesian island Flores lies between Australia and Asia.Scientists suggest that the new species of tiny humans may have descended from large-body Homo erectus humans who made it across the sea to colonize Flores. Once on Flores, the ancient humans could have "dwarfed," an evolutionary response that has been seen in other mammals in isolated environments with little food and no predators.

The fossilized skull of a newfound species of ancient marine reptile, pictured above, measures about two and a half feet (one meter) long. The creature's large jaws and jagged teeth prompted researchers to nickname the animal Godzilla after the sci-fi legend that first emerged from the ocean to terrorize Japan in the 1954 cult classic Gojira.
"Allah Fish" Surfaces in Parangipettai Water
Cuddalore Nov. 15. A marine phenomenon, “Allah fish”, has occurred in the coastal water of Parangipettai near Chidambaram in Cuddalore District. As the fish made an appearance during the holy month of Ramada, it has evoked interest among the residents of parangipettai and the surrounding areas.
The fish held in veneration by Muslims, was found in catch a couple of days ago, T. Balasubramanian director center of advance Study in Marine Biology of Annamalai University, told The Hindu. It was kept in the museum of the Centre for public viewing from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on working days.
The bright brown fish, about 30 cm in length an 10 cm in width, carried patterns resembling Arabic characters, on one side of the body reading “ Laillah illalah” (there is no God but Allah) and on other,”Sahni Allah” (Warning from God).
It’s other popular names are ‘Koran fish’ and ‘Koran Angel’. Mr. Balasubramanian said that it was in Parangipettai that followers of Prophet Mohammed, including his grandson, Syeb Sahib, attained martyrdom.
The 360-odd dargahs present at Parangipettai bore testimony to this fact. It was here thatpoet Ummaru recited Seerapuranam. Mr Balasubramanian and S. Ajmal Khan of the centre said the scientific name of the Allah fish was Pomacanthus Semicirculatus and it belonged to the family Pomancanthidae.
In India the fish was found in the Gulf of Mannar and the Palk Straits, besides at parangipettai. Coral reefs were its favourite habitat. It also occurred in the coastal waters of Africa, Korea, japan, Australia and Polynesia, the Dirctor said. (The Hindu)
'Plant' and 'Human' DNA (ladies with head flowers)
Naree Pons are supposedly Thai pod people that appeared to Buddha as beautiful women while he meditated in a secluded area. They disappeared and left a humanoid pod form behind on a nearby tree. There are supposedly two Naree Pon pods in a Thai temple near Bangkok in Thailand.
The Naree Pons are involved in a legend about Buddha. He was meditating during the day under a tree and these "maidens" would spring forth out of the branches to try and entice Buddha away from his transcendental state with their charms. When night fell, the Naree Pons would curl back up into the tree and blend in with the vegetation.
They've done DNA samples on these people and discovered both 'Plant' and 'Human' DNA.

The Giant Cat Fish

I don't know if you are familiar with "noodling", but it is the term for the way Oklahoma guys catch their fish. These guys wade out into the river and feel for holes or logs on the river floor. When they find a catfish hole, they stick their hands in there wiggle their fingers, the cats latch on and the 'idiots' pull out these monsters. Many people lose their lives each year because of this. Some fish are so big they literally pull the 'idiot' under. Snapping turtles and snakes claim their fair share of rednecks too.
A Big Snake In Congo
The picture above was taken in 1959 by a Belgium helicopter pilot, Col. Remy Van Lierde, while on patrol over the Congo. The snake he saw measured approximately 40 to 50 feet in length, dark brown/green with a white belly. It had triangle shaped jaws and a head about 3 ft x 2 ft. Experts have analyzed the pictures and have verified them as authentic. They also have verified the size of the creature by matching ground features to the snake. As the helicopter flew in lower the snake raised up 10 feet and looked as if it would strike at the helicopter if they flew any closer.

Area 51 - Groom Lake, NV
The Groom Lake Base is this top-secret military base located 90 miles north of Las Vegas (which is in Nevada). It's in grid number 51 of the Nevada Test Site, so it's called Area 51. The United States Air Force Flight Test Center controls the base. It's best known for testing exotic aircraft and weapons. The base was created in 1954 as a place to test the secret U-2 spyplane that was used to fly missions over the Soviet Union. Then it started to house the SR-71, A-12 and D-21 drone. The F-117A was tested there, also. In the 1980's the base increased in size, along with the runway (which increased to the present 6 miles). Then, mysterious lights began to appear, and armed guards known as the cammo dudes started patrolling the border. The government closed many viewpoints from which the Area 51 base could be seen. In 1989, a "physicist" named Bob Lazar claimed that he worked at a base south of Area 51 and also claimed that Area 51 was testing extremely advanced aircraft and UFO's they got by trading with the aliens. Since then, Area 51 has been thought to be the test center of captured UFOs because of the lights in the night sky.
Area 51 : Runway Area (Sattelite Photo)With the arrival of the A-12 program the runway was lengthened to 8,500 feet, fuel storage tanks capable of holding up to 1,320,000 gallon of JP-7 were added, as well as three surplus navy hangars and 100 surplus Navy housing buildings. Eight hangars at the south end of the base were build to house the A-12 spy planes. By the 1980's a weapons storage area south of the main base was added, with five earth-covered igloo's, presumably to support weapons testing for the F-117 program, and possibly the advanced cruise missile program. Until recently, the facility was supported by one 12,400 long 100 foot wide hard surface runway, which extends onto the dry lake bed North, giving it a total length of 25,300 feet or 4.8 miles. Sometime in the early 1990's this runway was deactivated, and replaced by a new 11,960 foot long 140 foot wide runway.
Area 51 : Weapon Storage Area (Sattelite photo)A small weapon storage area, occupying 32 acres, is located at the far south end of the facility. It consists of three small earth covered weapon storage igloos and two larger igloos and what appears to be a munitions maintenance building. Is is reported theat the WSA was constructed some time in the late 1970's early 1980's in support of the F-117 stealth fighter program. However the larger igloo's could possibly be related to the advanced cruise missile program.

Alternating, overlapping layers in center portion of larger flattened half circle where two opposing flows of crop met together this part of the formation also contained clockwise and counterclockwise flows of crop running alongside each other.
